Your African adventure starts the moment you arrive.

Namibia may feel like a remote corner of Africa, but getting here is easier than you might think.

With an excellent infrastructure, a stable political environment and English as the official language, Namibia is one of the most accessible and welcoming destinations in Southern Africa. Once you arrive, the wide-open spaces, incredible landscapes and relaxed pace of life make it easy to understand why so many visitors fall in love with the country.

For us, a safari is about more than the days spent hunting. It begins the moment you arrive at the airport—and we want every part of your journey to be as enjoyable and seamless as possible.

Namibia — the land of contrasts

Namibia is a country of extraordinary space and remarkable contrasts.

From the endless red sands of the Kalahari to the dramatic mountains of the Khomas Highlands and the ancient landscapes of the Namib Desert, every region has its own character. Much of the country remains wonderfully wild and untouched, offering an opportunity to experience Africa in a way that is becoming increasingly rare.

Namibia is home to an abundance of wildlife and offers some of the finest plains-game and big-game hunting in Africa.

And while hunting may be the reason you come to Namibia, it doesn’t have to be the only reason.

A country made for adventure

Namibia is one of those places where the journey itself becomes part of the experience.

For non-hunting family members, or for hunters who would like to experience more of the country before or after their safari, we can help arrange sightseeing and other activities.

Explore the towering dunes of the Namib, experience the wildlife of our national parks, visit fascinating geological formations or simply spend a few days enjoying the scenery, food and people of Namibia.

There is something here for everyone.

Hunting season

Namibia’s trophy hunting season runs from 1 February to 30 November.

The different seasons bring their own character to the hunt, and we are happy to help you choose the time of year that best suits the experience you are looking for.

Namibia’s weather

Namibia is predominantly a dry country, and its climate is generally sunny and predictable. Days can be warm or hot, while nights - particularly during the winter months and in the desert and higher-lying areas - can become surprisingly cold.

The result is a climate that makes Namibia enjoyable to visit throughout much of the year, with each season offering something different.

Winter - Dry season

The winter months are generally dry, with little to no rainfall and very low humidity. As natural water sources dry up, wildlife becomes increasingly concentrated around reliable waterholes and rivers.

May

The rains have generally come to an end, but the landscape can still be beautifully green. Days are pleasant, averaging around 24–28°C (75–82°F), while the nights are not yet particularly cold.

June

The mornings and evenings become noticeably cooler. Daytime temperatures are generally around 20–24°C (68–75°F), while nights can drop below 10°C (50°F) and may be considerably colder in desert areas.

July & August

These are the heart of winter. Days are typically clear and pleasant, with average maximum temperatures of around 21–25°C (70–77°F). Early mornings and nights can be very cold, with temperatures occasionally falling below freezing, particularly in the desert and higher-lying areas.

September & October

September is one of our favourite times of year. The mornings begin to lose their winter chill while the days remain comfortable. By October, temperatures gradually rise and the landscape begins to dry out as summer approaches.

Summer - Wet Season

The summer months bring warmer temperatures and the possibility of spectacular afternoon thunderstorms. Rainfall can transform the landscape almost overnight, bringing new life and colour to the bush.

November

Temperatures continue to rise, with daytime temperatures generally above 30°C (86°F). Clouds begin building during the afternoons as the first rains approach.

December

The first rains usually arrive, bringing a welcome change to the landscape. The bush responds quickly, and areas that were dry only weeks before can become green and alive with activity.

January & February

These are the hottest months of the year. Daytime temperatures generally range between 30–35°C (86–95°F), with temperatures above 40°C (104°F) possible in desert areas. Afternoon thunderstorms can be heavy, but they are often short-lived, with mornings remaining clear.

March & April

Rainfall gradually decreases and generally comes to an end around April. The landscape remains green for a while after the rains, temperatures begin to fall and the evenings become cooler.

Come and experience Namibia

Whether you are travelling to Namibia for your first African hunting safari or returning for another adventure, we want you to feel at home from the moment you arrive.

We will help you with the practical details, from getting here and moving between our hunting areas to arranging additional experiences for you and/or your family.

All you need to do is make the journey.

We’ll take care of the rest.
