The beautifully marked spiral-horned antelope
The Nyala is one of Africa's most beautifully patterned antelope. Mature bulls develop a dark slate-grey coat with striking white vertical stripes and impressive spiral horns.
A mature bull stands approximately 3½–4 feet at the shoulder and weighs around 220–275 lbs.
Hunting the Nyala
Nyala favour thick woodland and dense cover, where their camouflage makes them exceptionally difficult to spot.
A successful hunt often depends on careful glassing, patience and the ability to recognize a mature bull before he disappears back into the bush.
