The ghost of the African bush
The Caracal is a beautifully adapted medium-sized predator, instantly recognizable by its long black ear tufts and powerful build.
It stands approximately 1½ feet at the shoulder and weighs around 25–40 lbs.
Hunting the Caracal
Caracal are secretive, predominantly nocturnal predators that can be difficult to locate. Hunting one requires patience, knowledge of the terrain and an understanding of predator behaviour.
For hunters who appreciate the challenge of pursuing Africa's smaller predators, the caracal offers a fascinating hunt.
