The classic African zebra
Burchell's Zebra, or Plains Zebra, is one of Africa's most familiar and abundant plains animals. Their bold black-and-white stripes provide an unmistakable African image.
A mature zebra stands approximately 4–4½ feet at the shoulder and weighs around 550–800 lbs.
Hunting the Burchell's Zebra
A zebra hunt requires more judgement than many hunters expect. Selecting the right stallion from a moving herd can be surprisingly difficult.
The mature stallion often positions himself toward the rear of the herd, watching for danger while the rest of the animals move away.
